How activities are vetted

Four standards every listing meets.

The bar for an after-school activity is not just the quality of the coaching, it is what happens around it. Roughly a third of provider applications do not clear these four checks; the list of names you see is the short list.

  1. 01

    Background-checked instructors

Every coach, teacher or studio lead with regular access to children clears a current police record and two contactable references before any class is listed.

  2. 02

    Sensible adult-to-child ratios

Listed ratios are the published maximum, not aspirations. Swim, gymnastics and trampoline activities held to stricter ratios than open-format clubs.

  3. 03

    First aid on site

A current first-aid certificate (and a stocked kit) for at least one staff member at every session, required to be listed, audited at random.

  4. 04

    Parents are welcome to stay

Open-door policy by default. Where space limits viewing, the provider must say so up front and provide a glass gallery or a recorded class clip on request.

Run an after-school class or a play venue?

List a recurring class, a club or a drop-in venue. We vet provider credentials and publish a structured profile, schedule, age band, ratios, price, so parents can decide on facts.
