A small number of institutions also run advanced diplomas and specialist post-basic programmes (anaesthesia, critical care, palliative care).
Certificate programmes typically require UCE with credits in English, Mathematics and the sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics). Diploma programmes require UACE principal passes including Biology, plus a credit in English at UCE. Bachelor programmes require UACE principal passes in Biology and Chemistry (or PCB), with course-specific cut-offs that shift year-on-year.
