The mark

The Praecip Seal of Excellence.

What it certifies

A claim a parent can check

Plenty of badges decorate a school gate. This one means something specific, and says exactly what, every time it appears.

  • Independently assessed against a published rubric, not self-declared.
  • Judged blind to any commercial relationship with Praecip.
  • Issued for a single cycle, and dated, so it can never be quietly recycled.
  • Backed by a public verification page anyone can check.

Four tiers of recognition

Distinction runs deeper than the win

Tier 1

Winner

The category’s top school. Carries the Praecip Seal of Excellence for the cycle.

Tier 2

Highly Commended

The runner-up distinction, within a hair of the win.

Tier 3

Finalist

Named on the final shortlist the panel deliberated over.

Tier 4

Shortlisted

Advanced past first-round scoring into contention.

A school recognised three cycles running earns Praecip Accredited Excellence, a standing mark of sustained quality, reviewed each year.

What winning comes with

Recognition you can hold and display

A digital badge

For your website, prospectus and socials, linked back to a public verification page that proves it is genuine.

A certificate

A printed certificate for the wall, and a laurel applied to your Praecip profile for the cycle.

A verification page

A permanent Praecip URL stating the school, category, tier, cycle and date, the source of truth behind the badge.

A press kit

Logos, the citation and a short release so the local paper, and your alumni, can carry the story credibly.

Using the seal

Kept meaningful by a few rules

A mark is only worth carrying if it cannot be counterfeited or stretched. These usage terms travel with every seal, and form part of the award’s conditions.

Do

  • Display the seal with its cycle year intact.
  • Link the badge to your Praecip verification page.
  • Use the supplied artwork at its issued proportions.
  • Describe the exact honour, “Winner”, “Highly Commended”, and the category.

Don’t

  • Alter the colours, proportions or wording of the seal.
  • Present a prior cycle’s seal as the current year’s.
  • Imply an award the school did not receive.
  • Use the seal once recognition has been formally withdrawn.

Every seal is verifiable

A badge no one can check is just decoration. Every Praecip seal links to a public verification page, so a parent comparing schools can confirm, in one click, that the honour is real, current and exactly what it claims to be.

Verification pages go live with the first cycle, in August 2026.
