Every shortlisted school in the room is named. Reaching the final reckoning is itself a distinction.

The runners-up, within a hair of the win, are recognised, category by category.

The heart of the night: a winner in each of the 26 categories, with the panel’s citation read aloud.

Lifetime Achievement
The programme pauses to honour a career that shaped how Uganda goes to school.

The Laureate, the finale
The evening closes on the single most distinguished school in the country: School of the Year.

About the Seal of Excellence

The Praecip Seal of Excellence for the cycle, conferred on stage.
A printed certificate and the panel’s written citation.
A place on the published Honour Roll, archived for good.
A press kit, so the local paper can run the story the next morning.

Invitations, not yet open

Seats are not on sale, and won’t be. Invitations go to shortlisted schools and their guests once finalists are published in July 2026. A place in the room is earned on the shortlist, not bought at the door.
