About
Kampala Adult Learners' Institute serves adults, drop-outs, working professionals and parents, who left formal secondary school early and want to complete UCE or UACE. Evening and weekend timetables, condensed two-year tracks, and a strong on-ramp to Ugandan universities and polytechnics.
A message
“Our learners come to us in their twenties, thirties and forties. They are tired, brave, and astonishingly motivated. We meet them where they are and walk with them to the qualifications they always wanted.”
Performance
UCE 2024 (Mature-age)
74% Division 1 / 2; median learner age 27
UACE 2024 (Mature-age)
Strong placements at Makerere Open University and Kyambogo
What this school emphasises
The Praecip verdict
KALI is what an adult learner actually needs: condensed timetables, evening sessions, no childish nonsense, focused exam preparation. Results are impressive given the learner profile.
It is not a comprehensive school, no extracurriculars, modest premises, no pretensions of being one. Adult learners targeting purely the qualification will find it efficient; younger learners with social/extracurricular needs should look elsewhere.
