Job Purpose
- To deliver high-quality teaching, research and academic service in Economics, contributing to the University's mission of academic excellence, innovation and community engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures in Economics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Develop, review and update course content in line with University and NCHE standards.
- Conduct research and publish in reputable academic journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and dissertations.
- Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
- Engage in community outreach and professional engagement activities.
- Contribute to departmental and University administrative duties.
- Utilise e-learning platforms and digital tools to support teaching and learning.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Economics, Development Economics or a closely related field (a PhD is an added advantage).
- A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Quantitative Economics, Applied Economics or a related field.
- Evidence of research and publications in recognised academic journals.
- At least two (2) years' teaching experience at a recognised institution of higher learning.
- Demonstrated ability to use e-learning platforms and digital teaching tools.
- Professional qualifications in Economics or related disciplines will be an added advantage.
