The International Baccalaureate has a small but durable footprint in Uganda. Authorisation is expensive, the workload on teachers is intense, and the parent base is concentrated in a few diplomatic and corporate-expatriate communities.
But for families whose children will sit university entrance exams abroad, the IB Diploma remains the most portable qualification on offer in the country. We surveyed each authorised school on programme depth, current cohort size, and post-DP destinations.
